I also thought: Isn't it great that a bit of linen in the right hands can cause a paradigm shift in people's thinking and accordingly can change the very fabric of a world in crisis!

The Reading of the Names for the Ulster Linen Memorial was an enlightening or even cathartic experience for the Readers. Most had personal knowledge of at least one, and the name jumped out of the list to startle the reader, as it will to the listener in the audio presentation. The comprehensive randomisation of the names in the Reading lent added poignancy to the lists. These were people who on the last day of their lives may have been passionately opposed to those who now walk beside them, side by side in the ranks of the Grey Sergeant. He cares nothing for age or gender or affiliation.
